    Obituary:
    Robert E. Baeten (Bob), 80, Ashwaubenon, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, after a long, hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
    Bob was born in De Pere, to Elsie and Daniel Baeten on Oct. 7, 1926. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
    On Feb.14, 1953, he married his best friend MaryAnn Jackson and they celebrated more than 50 years of memories together. MaryAnn preceded him in death on Feb. 3. 2006.
    Bob was a banker for the State Bank of De Pere until his retirement. He was also member of the Catholic Order of Forresters. During his years with the bank he made many friends and was very well known throughout the city of Dc Pere. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and compassion that he shared with everyone he met. He was truly one of the kindest men that God ever created.
    Bob is survived by his children and their families, Robert and Joann Baeten, along with their children, Jessica, Bobby and Danny; Susan and Marvin Calaway, their children, Jennifer, Chad Sara), and Michelle; Laurie and Richard Janssen, their children, Scott (special friend, Amanda), Todd (special friend, Susan), Jason and Ashley (Greg); Stephen and Jackie Baeten, their children, Brandon, Samantha and Brianna; Leanne and Jim Finer, their children, Jesse, Jake, Cody, Ben (Alli), Zach and Sarah. He also is survived by four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler, Hanna and Alivia; his brothers and their wives, Donald and Florence Baeten, Richard and Lou Baeten, and Jim and Tim Baeten; and sister-in-laws, Janet and Ralph DeMarco, Karen and Ed Salzsieder; and Joan and Paul Conard; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Elsie, his wife, MaryAnn, his in-laws, Clarence and Minnie Jackson, and his faithful and loved cat, Sassy-Bob.
    Visitation for Bob will be held Tonight Monday, September 17, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, DE PERE. A wake service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Visitation Tuesday from 9 a.m. until Mass. Entombment in Allouez Mausoleum.
    The family would like thank Dr. Gerald Bayer and the staff of Green Bay Oncology, and also Patty, Nicole and Nancy from Heartland Hospice for all of their kind and compassionate care shown to our Dad and Family.

    Robert married Jackson, Mary Ann 14 Feb 1953. Mary was born 27 Sep 1932; died 3 Feb 2006. [Group Sheet]
