    Obituary:
Carole Ann Quella, "Aunt Peg", age 88, formerly of Neenah, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at Mathews of Menasha with loving friend, Angel, by her side. Carole was born on March 31, 1926 to the late William and Marion Quella, and a member of St. Margaret Mary's Church.
Carole was a remarkable woman. She never let being handicapped define her or keep her from doing anything she set her mind to. Defying conventions of the time, she loved to travel the U.S., making life-long friends along the way. Carole lived in Florida for many years, working communications for the Clearwater Police Force until her retirement in the mid-70s. It was hard for her to leave her dear friends there, but she missed her family and so returned to her much loved "homeland with four seasons and real trees".
Carole's many interests included theater, art and painting, history, and biography. She loved lighthouses, music, and the company of wild birds visiting her feeder. She had a lifelong passion for reading.
Most of all, she was truly devoted to her family and friends. Carole delighted in watching all the children in her life learn and grow, always encouraging and sharing feelings, good and bad, and accomplishments large and small.
Carole's faith, courage, work ethic, and sense of humor was always, and will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her.
Carole is survived by her cousin, Mary MacDonald, sister-in-law Barbara Quella, nieces and nephews, Nancy Stiller, William, Robert, and Ben Quella, Daniel and Peter Quella, Jackie Lovejoy, Douglas Roberts, Tricia Brackeen, Susan Smith, many grand and great-grand nephews and nieces, and treasured friends, including neighbor Jack at Assisi, and Angel, Autumn, and Amica Gerber.
In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sisters Mary (Don) Rasmussen, Janet (Rob) Roberts, brothers Ronald (Lilian) Quella, and nephews Robert and William Roberts.
A memorial service will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, on Friday, May 23, 2014, at 1:00
PM, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery.

    Obituary:
James P. Quella, age 76 of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was born September 20, 1935 to the late William and Marian (MacDonald) Quella in Menasha. After high school, Jim joined the Army, serving in Korea, and then married Barbara Russell. He worked for and retired from the Soo Line Railroad.
Jim was a very "goofy" man with a great sense of humor who always had something silly to say. He was an avid hunter, having enjoyed the hunt for deer and ducks, and was always dreaming of catching that trophy trout. He was a fan of folk and old country music.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barb; his children: Daniel Quella; Jacquelyn (David) Lovejoy; and Peter (Patti) Quella; six grandchildren; and his sister, Carole. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Janet and Mary; brother, Ronald; and daughter-in-law, Karen Poudrier-Quella.
A memorial service for Jim will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jim's name.
Please just say goodbye and maybe a prayer or two. Remember me the way I was - as I'll remember you. And if you believe in passersby, or spirits coming back, watch for me along a stream by an abandoned railroad track. Somewhere there is a trophy trout - I haven't found him yet! But I'll get him now, I've got an edge - I don't care if I get wet!. Love you, Jim.
