Basten, Milton J. (Mick)
Milton J. (Mick) Basten, 86, Green Bay, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at a local hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Joseph and Dora (Heim) Basten. On June 26, 1943, he married the former Ila Conard at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He was a self-employed milk truck driver for 38 years. Mick and Ila farmed the Basten homestead all their lives. He enjoyed times spent with his family and helping his family work the farm.
Survived by his beloved wife, Ila; one daughter, Cheryl (Leon) Brunner, Green Bay; one son, Mark (Ann) Basten, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Keith (Lisa) Brunner, Kevin (Tracy) Brunner, Kyle (Karen) Brunner, and Melissa Basten; six great-grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, and Noah Brunner, Ava and Adam Brunner, Elsa Brunner.
Friends may call at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street , from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral. Funeral Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
