    Obituary:
    Linda C. (Hoks) Tobey, 68 years, passed away September 3, 2017 in Appleton, WI at St. Elizabeth Hospital after complications from an ongoing illness. She was Born October 6, 1948 to her parents Donald and Velma (Haber) Hoks in Menasha, WI. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Menasha, Class of 1967. She was the buyer and business manager of John's Furs and Hides in the late 70's and early 80's. She worked at American Can Company from 1984-1990. She took on formal training at Fox Valley Technical College and received an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design in 1992. She worked as a draftsperson with Miller Electric and joined her husband Carl as owner/operator of American Press Technologies Inc. in February of 1996. She also worked in retail stores.
    Linda was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed time with her family, notably she travelled to Gloucester, Massachusetts, whale watching many times. She looked forward to vacationing with her granddaughters. Linda loved theater and movies and the popcorn that came with it. She would day trip to Door County and Mackinaw Island to sightsee. Linda was a fan of history and enjoyed travelling to Washington, DC. In the past year she investigated her family ancestry and compiled books to register the lineage. Linda was past president of the Winnebago County Master Gardeners, serving as president twice.
    Linda will be missed by her husband Carl Tobey, children Lisa Younk and John (Karen) Hanamann III, grandchildren Leanne Younk and Rebecca Younk, sister Janice (David) Olson and brother Thomas (Lynn) Hoks. She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Velma Hoks.
    A Funeral Service for Linda will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 5 pm at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Please use Hwy 441 Oneida St. exit. Private inurnment Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at Tri-county Chapel from 3 pm until time of Service.
    Memorials in Linda's name may be made to Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services in Oshkosh, WI.
    Special thank you to the staff of St. Elisabeth Hospital ICU unit for their loving and professional care of Linda.
