    Obituary:
    Adelaide A. Westphal, age 87, of Readfield passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at New London Family Medical Center while surrounded by her family. She was born on January 15, 1924, in Metz, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Adolph and Wilhemina (Glocke) Radtke. On December 15, 1945, she married Orin E. Westphal, the marriage was blessed with four children and 51 years before he preceded her in death on January 13, 1997. After her children were old enough to care for themselves, Adelaide took on a job as a receiving clerk at Jandrey's in Neenah.
    She was a member of the Ladies Aid at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 311 in Fremont. Adelaide loved crochet and quilting, reading, then listening to audio books when her eyesight failed. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling, in fact her and Orin wintered in Florida for ten years after his retirement until their failing eyes kept them in Wisconsin.
    She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Donna (Jerry) Szesterniak, Red Granite; sons: David, Readfield; Darwin (Colleen), Neenah; Dean (Keli), Appleton; grandchildren: Tammy (Dan) Mulvey, Shawn L. (Cristen) Wolfgram, Amanda (friend Clint) Reilly, Shawn M. Westphal, James (Amanda) Westphal, Cate (Brad) Honer, Nicholas Westphal, Emma (friend Aaron) Westphal, Sophie Westphal, Hannah Westphal, LilNell (Eric) Herz, Abby (fiance Jason) Westphal; great-grandchildren: Clint, Shana, Chelsea, Carter, Allyson, Courtney, Molly, Jacob, Cailin, Haley, Macey, Christopher, Donavan, Elijah, Farrah, soon-to-be Brodie, and another great-granddaughter on the way; her sister, Angeline (Ken Robinson) Bartel, Neenah; brother, Wayne (Nancy) Radtke, Eagle River; sisters-in-law: Verona Radtke, Neenah; Marcella Westphal, Fremont; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Orin, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Richard Wolfgram, great-granddaughter, Madison Westphal; brothers: Leonard and Clarence; and sisters: Enida and Lila.
    The Christian Funeral Service for Adelaide will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church (436 S. Lake St., Neenah) with Rev. Jason Oakland and Rev. Richard I. Krahn II officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 12 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Appleton's Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Dale Schlais, and the staffs of ThedaCare at Home Hospice and the third floor of New London Family Medical Center for their care and compassion.
