    Hietpas, William C., Seymour William C. Hietpas, age 79, of Seymour, died late Tuesday evening, Octob er 28, 2003 at the Appleton Medical Center following a battle with cance r. He was born March 8, 1924 in Wisconsin, the son of the late Martin a nd Estelle (Heup) Hietpas. On December 28, 1948 he was united in marria ge to Armella "Mel" Van Heeswyk in New York. She preceded him in dea th on January 6, 1999.Bill graduated from St John's High School, Little Chute in 1942. Upon grad uation he entered the U.S. Coast Guard serving during WWII. From 1954 unt il 1961 he was a guard at the State Reformatory and from 1961 until 19 64 he served on the De Pere Police Department. In 1964 through 1970 Bill s erved as the Police Chief for the City of Seymour. In 1970 he was employ ed with St Norbert's Security. From 1973 until 1987 he was an instruct or in Police Science at the Fox Valley Technical College. In 1992 he beca me the municipal judge in Seymour until his retirement. He was a memb er of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour and a member of the Kn ights of Columbus and the Seymour American Legion, Post #106. Bill enjoy ed cribbage (with his buddies at Petticoat), golfing and bowling.He is survived by his children: David (Sue), Rockford, Illinois; Gary (Con nie), Seymour; Gene (Jenny), Black Creek; Bryan, Menasha; Beth (Marvin) Sm ith, Seymour; and Barbara (Dave) Ulmen, Lake Tomahawk; eleven grandchildre n, and three great-grandchildren.Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and a stepmother, Sylvia Hietpa s.Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 915 Ivory Stree t, Seymour on Friday, October 31, 2003, from 3 to 7 p.m., with the Ma ss of Christian Burial at 7 p.m., with Father Martin Fox officiating.     Gary (Snake) L. Hietpas, 50, Seymour, passed away Sunday morning, March 16, 2008, at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones. Gary was born April 8, 1957, son of the late William and Armella Hietpas. On Sept. 1, 2001, he was united in marriage to Connie Olson. Gary graduated from Seymour High School in 1975. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving three years from 1977 to 1980. He was then employed as an inspector for 23 years at Voith Fabric in Appleton.
    Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at his cabin up north and spending time with his dog, Buddy. Gary also enjoyed spending time with all of his special friends, Randy Samson, Rick Dopkins, Tom Van Lanen, Al Spoehr, Rick Bridges, Don Reader and many, many more.
    He is survived by his wife, Connie. He has two step-daughters, Tammy (Dave) Lambert, Denmark; Kelly (Brian) Ness, Manitowoc; three step-grandchildren, Pvt. Shawn Olson, Adam Vieau and Nicole Ness; one great-stepgranddaughter, Cassie; mother-in-law, Beatrice Olson, Pulaski; three brothers, David (Sue) Hietpas, Rockford, Ill.; Geno (Jenny) Hietpas, Black Creek; Brian Hietpas, Menasha; two sisters, Beth (Marv) Smith, Seymour; Barb (Dave) Ulmen, Lake Tomahawk; stepgrandmother, Josephine Van Heeswyk, Little Chute; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Laura and Kellen, Nicole and Rachelle Hietpas, Joe Smith, Justin (Stacy), Tom (Samantha) Noel.
    Gary was preceded in death by his parents, William Hietpas and Armella (Van Heeswyk) Hietpas; and Grandma Sylvia.
    Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Township of Maple Grove. Military rites will follow at the church. There will be a gathering at Skunk Hill following the services.
