Vanden Heuvel, Eug eneJohn "Geno"Eugene John Vanden Heuvel, 78, Little Chute, passed away peacefully at h is home Wednesday, September 27, 2006. He was born November 24, 1927, in L ittle Chute, son of Peter and Dora (Hietpas) Vanden Heuvel. Eugene owned a nd operated the Mobil Station in Little Chute for many years. He was a b ig sports fan and enjoyed the Packers, Badgers and Notre Dame Fighting Iri sh. Gene also enjoyed playing cribbage and Canadian fishing trips with h is friends.Mr. Vanden Heuvel was a U.S. Army veteran and a member and past command er of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute.Eugene is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Wayne) Voet, Combined Locks; Le igh (Rick) Howe, Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren: Heather (Jim) Voe t, Gregorios, FL; Aimee and Sarah Howe, Gainesville, FL; special friend, Y vonne Rusk and her children: Barbara Smith, Gregory Rusk and their familie s; three brothers: Clarence (Urs) Vanden Heuvel; Paul (Laverne) Vanden Heu vel and Ken Vanden Heuvel, all of Little Chute; three sisters: Dolores (Mi ke) Machurick, Little Chute; Donna (Bob) Welch, Tallahassee, FL; Barbara ( Mike) Kons, Little Chute; sisters-in-law: Jane Vanden Heuvel, Noreen Vand en Heuvel, both of Little Chute; nieces, nephews and other relatives.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd Vanden Heuv el and Jerome Vanden Heuvel; sister-in-law, Anne Vanden Heuvel.Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2006, at St. J ohn Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. James Hablewitz off iciating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends m ay call at the church from 3 p.m. Monday until the time of the mass. A Leg ion prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the church. In li eu of flowers a memorial has been established.Eugene's family wishes to thank Affinity Hospice, especially Beth and Rach el for their loving and tender care; the nurses on sub acute at St. Elizab eth Hospital who always had time to talk about baseball and smuggle dove b ars and Dr. Goggins and staff.
