Obituary:
Dalles Rose Thompson, 88, Indianapolis, passed away March 12, 2011. She was born March 16, 1922, in Appleton, Wis., to the late Frank and Rose Ecker Tank. Dalles married Robert Thompson and he preceded her in death.
She began her career as a preschool teacher and then as a substitute teacher for Warren Township Schools. She was a devoted wife and mother and an active member of Servants of Christ Lutheran Church. She also taught Sunday School and was a Stephen Minister at her former congregation, Grace Lutheran Church, Clearwater, Fla. Wherever she lived, Dalles was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Dalles is survived by her daughters, Karen Thompson and Kay Panattoni (Ron); and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Karl Thompson, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011, from 12 noon until the time of services at 1 p.m. at Servants of Christ Lutheran Church, 7650 Oaklandon Rd., Indianapolis, 46236.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Servants of Christ Lutheran Church.
