    Archie P. Huss, age 80, of rural Tigerton passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.
    Archie Peter Huss was born on May 22, 1935 in Kaukauna to Lester and Ellen (Aronoldussen) Huss. After high school he entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and retired from the military in 1975. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. Archie was united in marriage on February 2, 1975 to Magdalena K. Augesen in Ogden, Kansas. In December of 1975 the couple settled in Tigerton where he enjoyed the outdoors, especially his passion for hunting. Archie made numerous Elk Hunting trips out West with relatives and friends until his health declined. Archie was also a handyman who could weld and fix almost anything. He was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, the 1st Cavalry Division Assoc., and the National Rifle Assoc. Archie was a member of the American Legion Post #239, the Kettle Moraine Chapter of the 1st Cavalry Division Assoc., the Retired Enlisted Assoc., and the U.S.S. Wright Assoc. He liked trapshooting and was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. Archie belonged to Trap Clubs in Weston, Ingersoll, and Antigo. He was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church, Wittenberg.
    Survivors include his wife, Maggie; two children, Sandi Brady of Hatley and Don (Angie) Augesen of Westmoreland, TN. There is one granddaughter, Melanie (Jon) Kulas of Galloway. There are four great grandchildren, James Brady; Korbin, Paylin, and Kastin Kulas. There are two brothers, Harvey (Elaine) Huss of Kaukauna and James (Barbara) Huss of Appleton. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Archie is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Brandon Brady, a sister, Alvina "Alvie" (Eugene) DeBruin, and a brother, Clifford Huss.
    Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 14th at 11:00 AM at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, 127 Cedar St., Tigerton, with Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post #239, Tigerton. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.     The family wishes to especially thank his nephew, Chuck Huss, and close neighbor, Ron Buser, for the loving care provided to Archie this past Saturday until the ambulance arrived.
