Obituary:
Little Chute - Dorothy M. (Vande Wettering) Coppus, age 90, passed on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born July 27, 1927 in the Town of Holland, the daughter of the late William and Martha (Huss) Vande Wettering. She married Bernard J. Coppus (son of Charles and Agatha (DeBoth) Coppus), on October 17, 1946 at St. Francis Catholic Church Hollandtown. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute. Dorothy was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed, square dancing, Red Hatters, spending time at the cottage on Lake Poygan, bowling, playing sheepshead and going on errands with her sister Judy.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Bernard who passed away in 2001; sisters: Rosella "Rosie" (Roman) Kolbe and Mary Wells; brother, Leroy Vande Wettering; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Eunice (Jerome) Coenen, Marge (Marvin) Rolf, Charles (Betty) Coppus.
Dorothy was survived by her two sons: Gary (Kathy) Coppus of Kaukauna and Daniel (Lea) Coppus of Little Chute; five grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Coppus, Stacy (Jesse) Janssen, Laura (Andy) Rogers, Scott (Christina) Coppus and Teresa Coppus; five great grandchildren: Parker and Sommer Janssen, Kaylee and Koltin Coppus and Saywer Rogers; one brother Clifford "Tim" (Dorothy) Vande Wettering; one sister Judy (Carl Sr.) Bowers; brother-in-law: Kenneth Wells; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
