    Dick (Tricky Dick) Van Den Heuvel, 83, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at his home. He was born February 18, 1934, in Green Bay, son of the late Peter and Mary (Peeters) Van Den Heuvel. Dick married Joyce Ducat in May 14, 1955, and she preceded him in death on February 7, 2016.
    Dick owned and operated Tricky Dick's Tavern for 22 years and Tricky Dick's Specialties up until he passed away. In his early years, he worked for John Brick as Foreman of the feed mill in Wrightstown and Bellevue, and as a salesman for Fuller Brush and Combined Insurance. He was a member of the Tavern League of Wisconsin and Brown County for over 35 years, and belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters for over 70 years. Dick was also active with the Eagles Club and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, betting on football games, and Pabst Blue Ribbon.
    Survivors include three children: Debbie Matsen, Dawn (David) Zmek, and Dick, Jr. (Lynn) Van Den Heuvel; seven grandchildren: Kurt (Kim) Matsen, Tammi (Kurt) Kitzman, Brian Zmek, Mark Zmek, and Melissa Zmek, Danielle and Alex Van Den Heuvel; three great-grandchildren: McKenna Matsen, Mitchell Kitzman, and Quinn Kitzman; sisters and brothers-in-law: Delores Calaway, Alice Zambrowicz, Rita (Alan) Devroy, and Nancy (Rodney) Hockers; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Grusznski, Clarence "Jr." Ducat, Richard (Mary) Ducat, Joann Minkel, Janet (Thomas) Breunig, Glendon "Butch" Ducat, and Jackie (Bernie) Reed; Godchild, Kevin Minkel; and many nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Donald Van Den Heuvel; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joseph, Janice, Kenneth, Judith, and Raymond Ducat.
    Family and friends may visit Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin St., Green Bay, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Anthony Cirignani officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
