    Obituary:
Warren J. Lowney, age 84, New London, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at his residence. He was born on June 1, 1932, in New London, son of the late John and Nora (Sullivan) Lowney. Warren helped his family with the dairy farm growing up also worked on his neighbors' farms. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Bear Creek and graduated from Bear Creek Senior High School in 1951. On October 26, 1957, Warren was united in marriage to Irene Gorman in the Town of Lebanon. That same year, he began a 38-year career with the Galloway Company in Neenah. He retired in 1994. Warren was the assessor for the Town of Lebanon (Waupaca County) for 36 years, a position he retired from in 1999. In 2010, he had the honor of being the "Irish Man of the Year" in the New Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade, alongside his "Irish Rose" Irene. Being a 100-percent Irishman, the honor allowed Warren a proud opportunity to celebrate his heritage. Warren enjoyed gardening, watching New London Bulldogs basketball and spending time with family and friends. He had the gift of gab - whether in a doctor's office waiting room or at a community event, he could leave knowing the name of everyone there.
