    Champeau, Esther M. (V an De Hey)MenashaAge 84, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2003, at Oakridge Gardens Nu rsing Center. Esther was born on September 25, 1919, daughter of the la te Otto and Mathilda (Krueger) Wiegart. She married Francis Van De H ey in 1939; he preceded her in death in 1983. Esther later married Charl es Champeau in 1989; he preceded her in death in 1991. She was a Menasha r esident for most of her life and also was a member of St. Mary's Cathol ic Church in Menasha. Esther worked for Modern Manufacturing for 14 year s. She volunteered at the Menasha Senior Center and was a member of the 3 rd Order of St. Mary's.Esther is survived by four daughters: Joan (Donald) Remmel, Sheffield Lak e, OH; Susan (William) Hayes, Neenah; Julie (Archie) Polar, Menasha; Car ol (Jerry) Classen, Menasha; three sons: Daniel (Barbara) Van De Hey, T he Villages, FL; Robert Van De Hey, San Diego, CA; Marvin (Bonnie) V an De Hey, Menasha; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one broth er Melvin Wiegart, Greenleaf, Wis.She was preceded in death by three brothers: Earl, Everett, and Raymond V an De Hey.Funeral services for Esther will be held on Monday, December 22, 200 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, with Father Paul Radet ski officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of ser vice at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemeter y, Menasha. Memorials can be made to the Menasha Senior Center in Esther 's name.The family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens, and Dr. To dd Talbot for their compassionate care.

    Susan H. "Ma" Hayes, Neenah, 54, passed away at her home on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1952, daughter of the late Francis and Esther (Wiegart) Van De hey. Susan graduated from Menasha High School class of 1970. She was united in marriage to William Hayes on March 27, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. She lived in Neenah where she enjoyed being a homemaker and providing daycare for her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening and she was an avid Packer fan.
    Susan is survived by, her husband, William Austin Hayes; her son, William Edward Hayes; her daughter, Tammy Sue Genett and fiance Jeff Thurk; five grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary and Ava Hayes, Austin Genett and Alec Thurk; six brothers and sisters, Dan (Barb) Van De Hey, Joan (Don) Remmel, both of Florida; Bob Van De Hey, California; Marvin (Bonnie) Van De Hey, Wild Rose; Julie (Archie) Polar, Menasha; Carol Klassen, Neenah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Joan Hayes, Richard and Anna Hayes, Ronnie and Ann Hayes, Dan and Rose Hayes, all of Neenah; Lester and Carol Greuel, Black Creek; Sally and Tom Liebhauser, Menasha; Susan and David Strassman, Oshkosh; and many nieces and nephews.
    Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Goggins and the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital and also Affinity Hospice Nursing staff, especially Kristin.
