Obituary:
Gerald J. "Jerry" Stangel, Appleton, age 68, formerly of Waukesha, passed away in Appleton on Monday, June 1, 2009. He was born in Waukesha on January 15, 1941, the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Luljak) Stangel. Jerry served in the United States Navy. He was a supervisor for Master Set in Milwaukee for many years, and more recently was a driver for Kobussen in Kaukauna. Jerry had many varied interests including computers and electronics.
Jerry is survived by his brothers: Lee Stangel, Appleton; David (Trish) Stangel, San Diego, CA; sister: Laura (Kurt) Schmidt, Wichita, KS; nephew, Eric Schmidt; and niece, Dana Schmidt.
A private service will be held. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
