Thoyre, Charles G. "Papa"
Chuck, 60, Larsen, went with a fight at Theda Clark Medical Center, Saturday, May 12, 2007, with his family by his side. He went with the greatest memory of fishing with his daughter and grandson. He was born Aug. 10, 1946, in Cedarburg, son of August and Rosetta (Meloy) Hansen. Charles was employed as a local insurance agent for many years and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Chuck was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and fisherman.
Charles is survived by his wife, Dixie; children, Janelle R. (John M.) Tate, Neenah; Charles David Thoyre, Neenah; Michelle Jones, Tennessee; his mother, Rosetta Thoyre, Minnesota; grandchildren, Hunter Ray Tate, Tabitha Matthews, Karly Tate, Taylor Tate; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, August Hansen and Wilbert E. Thoyre; a sister, Lillian Thurow; a brother, James Hansen and a nephew, Warren Hansen.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. At 6 p.m. John Tate will conduct a final farewell. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Monday, until the time of the service. A memorial has been established for Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N. Sawyer St., Oshkosh, a meeting place of Gamblers Anonymous, so Chuck can keep helping others.
His grandson's last words
to his "Papa" were,
"Over and out
rainbow trout."
