    Spreeman, Donald J. Donald Spreeman, loving husband, father and grandfather, 64, of Elcho, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 13, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center with his family at his side. He was born January 13, 1942, in Cheboygan, MI, son of Fred and Wanda (Bettis) Spreeman. He was married for 48 years to Anne (Coady) (June 14, 1958).
    Don served on the Kaukauna Public Utility Commission and was a member of the Thilmany (International Papers) quarter century club. Don was an active member of the Two Cylinder Club and could often be found refurbishing his beloved John Deere Tractors with his faithful Springer Spaniel, Maggy (I and II) at his side with Bluegrass music playing in the background. Don was also an avid Ham Radio operator and could be identified traveling the roads of Wisconsin by his call letters found on his license plate (WA9ZOR). Don especially enjoyed the companionship and time he and Anne spent with his brother and sister in-law, Lyle and Rosemary Pyke.
    He is survived by his wife Anne Spreeman of Elcho, WI: sister, Joeanne Foster of Cheboygan, MI; brothers: Jack (Donna) Spreeman of Vanderbuilt MI; Ralph (Teresa) Spreeman of Stockbridge WI; Jerome (Karyn) Spreeman of Hendersonville, NC; and Patrick Spreeman of Kaukauna, WI; his children: Lisa and Leroy Wenzel of Kaukauna, WI; Dawn and Gary Zlevor of Combined Locks, WI; and William and Peggy Spreeman of Grand Rapids MN; his eight grandchildren: Matthew Spreeman, Casey Spreeman, William Spreeman, Tiffany Wenzel, Corey Wenzel, Melissa Wenzel, Christopher Zlevor, Samantha Zlevor; and lifelong friends and in-laws: Rosemary and Lyle Pyke of Kaukauna, WI. He is further survived by family and many friends in Elcho and Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
    Donald was preceded in death by a son, Donald Joseph Spreeman (Jr); his father, Alfred Spreeman; mother, Wandalu Spreeman; and brother, Edward Spreeman.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2006, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
