Marjorie (nee: Nichols) Heeter, 93, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008, at Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton. She was born in Racine on May 24, 1915, the daughter of Samuel C. and Mildred (nee: Groenke) Nichols. On July 1, 1944, Marjorie was united in marriage to Robert H. G. Heeter at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Racine. Marjorie graduated from Washington Park High School, class of 1932 and earned an associate degree in Horticulture from Gateway Technical College. She had been a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Marjorie's hobbies included collecting antique dolls, crafts, gardening and reupholstering.
Surviving are her children: Robert N. Heeter of Lexington, KY; George Edward (Maureen) Heeter of Loveland, CO; Marjorie Jeanne (Bruce) Perreault of Elizabethton, TN; and Ruth Ann (Marvin Murphy) Heeter of Fremont, WI; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. G. and a sister, Vera Nichols.
A graveside service will be held at Mound Cemetery, on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 1 p.m. with The Rev. Martha Berger officiating.
