    Obituary:
    Ebben "Pappy" Papenfus, age 63, passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side on Saturday, August 20, 2005. He was born May 8, 1942 in Green Bay to Gordon and Dorothy (Ellefson) Papenfus. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He was united in marriage to Karen Gall on July 29, 1967 in Appleton. He dedicated 38 years of his life retiring in May 2004 to the former Tuttle Press now Hoffmaster, Solo Cup Company. Pappy was a "Jack of All Trades," especially when it came to home improvement. He also loved country music, polka music and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time with the family dog, Princess.
    He will be dearly missed by his wife, Karen four children, Fred (Brenda) Gall, Debra (Keith) Strohmeyer, Daryl Papenfus, Charles "Rusty" (fiancée Linda Skifstad) six grandchildren, Brent, Ashleigh, Keith, Amanda, Michael and David future grandchildren, Jennifer and Nathan Skifstad mother, Dorothy sister and brother-in-law, Darlene (Dave) Maves brother and sister-in-laws, Franklin (Fran) Papenfus, Dennis (Kathy) Papenfus mother-in-law, Betty Glaser and sister-in-law, Darlene Huss.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon brother, Allen and his grandparents.
    Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Valley Funeral Home with Pastor Jane Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Valley Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and then continuing on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the Valley Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The family wishes to thank First Congregational Church, Pastor Jane Anderson, Mary O'Brien, Father Leroy Hogan, Millie, Marlene and Cindy Wirth, Dawn and Al Wichman, and all other relatives, friends and neighbors for their kindness at this difficult time.
