Obituary:
Sister M. Theonella, 69, of Holy Family convent, Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she was a patient a month. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the convent chapel, the Rev. Ronald Kirk, O. Praem, officiating, and burial will be in the convent cemetery. Sister Theonella, Ardeen Kirkhof (sic), was born Oct. 1, 1897, at Hollandtown, daughter of the late Henry and Anna Kempen Kerkhof. She joined the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity June 15, 1918, and professed her vows Aug. 7, 1921. She had been teaching Chemistry at Holy Family College and had a masters degree from Marquette University. Survivors are four sisters, all nuns in the Franciscan Order Sister M. Ignatius, Sister M. Eileen, Sister M. Everildis, and Sister M. Merilda, and a brother, William, of Hollandtown. Friends may call at the convent Thursday afternoon and evening. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
