Obituary:
Kenneth A. Schroeder, age 71, Town of Ellington, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side. He was born in New London on November 25, 1938, son of the late Alwin and Mildred (Hermann) Schroeder. On June 20, 1959, Kenneth was united in marriage to Sandra Culbertson in Appleton. He was born and raised on the family farm where he continued the family business. Kenneth also worked for George Pritzel Plastering, Unitel and then had many enjoyable hours doing dealer trades for Bergstrom Automotive. He also spent many hours motorcycling with many of his friends, his goal was to tour all 50 states. Kenneth made all but five states and all counties in Wisconsin, he also enjoyed snowmobiling with the Outpack 7 Gang and friends from the cottage at Tomahawk. He was a member of the Outagamie Farm Bureau and a director for Outagamie Co-op Services Equity. Kenneth was a life member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Ellington where he had once served as the Secretary and Treasurer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra; five children, Kellie Mahoney, Steven, Kathleen (Brian) Stoltz, Kevin, Kristine (Salvador) Garcia, eight grandchildren; Cory (special friend, Katy Nelson) Schroeder, Matthew (Cassie) Schroeder, Aron Schroeder, Jessica (special friend, Jon Procknow) Stoltz, Heather (special friend, Corey McCalby) Stoltz, Justin Stoltz, Theresa (special friend, Brandon West) Garcia and Joshua Garcia. Kenneth is further survived by a great-grandchild; Marielle Schroeder, his special little buddy; Bear who was always at his side, a sister; Donna (Tom) Joosten, a brother and sister-in-law; Dean (Kathy) Culbertson, and Vicki Schroeder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandra's parents; Merle and Erna Culbertson, a brother-in-law; Ray Culbertson, son-in-law; Tim Mahoney and aunts and uncles.
A funeral service for Kenneth will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, W6399 County Road O, Town of Ellington. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church on Friday. Kenneth will be laid to rest at Star of Hope Mausoleum, Appleton.
