    Little Chute - Funeral services for Miss Angela Lucassen were held at St. John church Monday morning with the Rev. Francis Schcoettle in charge. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery.     Alice Olson, 101, Little Chute, died at Care Partners Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007. She was born Oct. 14, 1905, in Little Chute, daughter of Theodore and Helena (Weyenberg) Lucassen. Alice married John "Jack" Olson and he preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1952. Mrs. Olson was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was employed at Tuttle Press, Appleton, and the Little Chute Five and Dime. Alice enjoyed following her grandchildren in their sporting events.
    Alice is survived by a son, Thomas (Karen) Olson, Combined Locks; three grandchildren, Eric (Marsha), Appleton; Brad (Megan), Denver, Colo.; Greg (Courtney) Olson, Germany; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Brecken Olson; two sisters, Barbara Mueller, Pickerel Lake; Rosemary Loiselle, Kimberly; sister-in-law, Elverta Olson, Hilbert; many special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, William, Henry, Angela, Emma, Henry, Margaret and Norbert.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.

    Barbara, age 94, of Pickerel, Wisconsin passed away at her Eustis, Florida, home on February 17, 2011. Born December 24, 1916, in Little Chute, Wisconsin, of parents Theodore and Helena Lucassen. She attened grade school and high school at St. John's of Little Chute. On May 24, 1941, she married John (Jack) Mueller of Appleton, Wi. She worked in their Sheet Metal business as bookkeeper until their retirement in 1979. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2001.
    Survivors include children: Steven J. Mueller (Christine) of Appleton and Karen Mueller Phillips (Ron) of Deerbrook, Wisconsin. Grandchildren include Max (Darcy) Mueller of La Crescent, MN and Daniel Mueller and special friend Alissa of Kaukauna, WI.
    Barbara had many interests in her long life, active in sports especially hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. She was also an accomplished knitter, seamstress, flower arranger, gardener, card player and singer. She was a member of a card club of her High School friends for over 50 years. In her later years she was enthusiastic about bingo and traveling.
    Preceding her in death were her 11 brothers and sisters, parents, husband and son-in-law.
    A private family and friends gathering will take place in Appleton.

    Appleton - Bernice A. Ashauer, age 82, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 surrounded by family. Bernice was born on November 13, 1935 to the late Peter and Emma (Lucassan) Vander Loop. On January 20, 1953, she married Gerald Ashauer at St. John Nepomucene Church in Little Chute. They spent 57 years of marriage together until his passing in 2010. Bernice was a woman of strong faith. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville for the past 58 years and in her 40s became a member of the Franciscan Order. Also of great importance to Bernice was her family. She loved spending time taking local trips with them, whether that being to Bay Beach, Wednesday Dairy Queen treats, the train museum, or special birthday treats for the kids at a local establishment. The house was always filled with laughter and joy of the family and their friends. Bernice enjoyed time spent cooking, baking, gardening, and enjoying the arts especially crafts fairs and oil painting.
    Bernice will be dearly missed by her children: Joseph (Linda) Ashauer, Christine Ashauer, Jeffrey (Cindy Lou) Ashauer, Cynthia (Marty) Timm, Cathryn (Mike) Timm, James Ashauer, and Jason (Sari) Ashauer; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers: Robert Vander Loop, William (Dorothy) Vander Loop, and Raymond (Sandra) Vander Loop; sister-in-law, Barbara Vander Loop; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gerald Ashauer; brother, Eugene Vander Loop; sister-in-law, Jean Vander Loop; and Gerald's five siblings and their spouses.
    The funeral service for Bernice will be held at 12 p.m., noon on Monday, May 7, 2018 at ST. EDWARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, HIGHWAY 47 N, MACKVILLE. There will be a time of visitation from 4 p.m until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton, and again from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., noon on Monday at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at The Bridges of Appleton for their loving care and compassion for their mother.

    Eugene G. Vander Loop, age 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Thedacare Regional Hospital (AMC) surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1939, son of the late Peter and Emma (Lucassen) Vander Loop.
    On April 15, 1961, Gene married Barbara (Mitchell) Vander Loop. He was an active member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He retired from Kimberly Mill in 2001 after 44 years of service. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's many activities.
    Gene is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Barbara (Mitchell) Vander Loop;
    Two sons and one daughter: Mark (Sara), Stockbridge, and their children: Drew and Anna;
    Paul (Darlene), Little Chute, and their children: Maddi (John Hurley), Chad (Kailee Wahler), Kelly, and Sarah;
    Lori (Ken) Olson, De Pere, and their children: Katie, Dale, Craig
    Gene is further survived by three brothers and one sister: Bob Van Der Loop, Appleton; Bill Vander Loop and special friend, Dot Schmidt, Kaukauna; Ray (Sandy) Van Der Loop, Appleton; Bernice Ashauer, Mackville; brothers and sisters-in-law: Boniface (Elsie) Mitchell, Combined Locks; Marion Biesterveld, Kaukauna; Matt (Judy) Mitchell, Kaukauna; Dot Mitchell, Kaukauna; Larry (Linda) Mitchell, Appleton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by: his parents, Peter and Emma Vander Loop, his mother and father-in-law, Peter and Ella Mitchell; sisters-in-law: Jean Van Der Loop, Joyce Vander Loop, Edna Mitchell, Rita Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell; brothers-in-law: Gerald Ashauer, Leo Mitchell, Virg Biesterveld.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
