    Lawrence W. Zimmerman, of De Pere, formerly of Appleton, born to eternal life at the age of 93, on Thursday, June 9, 2005, following a lingering illness.
    Lawrence was born in Appleton on Dec. 21, 1911, son of the late Carl and Rose (Deltour) Zimmerman.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Lucille (Risse); his four children, Dr. Richard C. (Kathleen), West Bend, Nancy L. (Donald) Wallace, Madison, Luann M. (Terry) Thorson, Green Bay, and Peter C. (Judith), Plover; 13 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his sister, Marian Williams, Menasha; and sister-in-law, Drucilla Bay, Kaukauna.
    Lawrence was employed at Kimberly-Clark for 43 years, retiring in 1970. He was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church. During his retirement, he won many trophies while exhibiting his 1927 Model T Ford. Lawrence also delighted in being a member of the Big Brother Program. His greatest pride was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up and succeed in academics and sports. Lawrence will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him.
    The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Highland Memorial Park, Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton, with the Rev. David Lyle officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Harbor House, 1550 Arcadian Lane, DePere WI 54115 (920-983-2940) or First English Lutheran Church, Appleton.

    Marion E. Williams, 93, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, at home. She was born on Oct. 28, 1916, in Appleton, the daughter of Carl and Rose (Deltour) Zimmerman. She married Harold Williams on June 27, 1935, in Kimberly. Marion enjoyed cooking and baking, crocheting, and playing cards, especially sheepshead. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Kimberly, and enjoyed her time as a volunteer at Colony Oaks Nursing Home.

    Marion is survived by two sons, Harold (Karen) Williams, Neenah, and Michael (Carol) Williams, Peachtree City, GA; two daughters, Beverly Hoffman, Appleton, and Barbara Quella, Menasha; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, John and Eileen.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a granddaughter, Sharon; two brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law, Ben Hoffman.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 19, 2010, at 12 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established in Marion's name.

    George A. Deltour, Sr., Appleton, 88, died on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Appleton, the son of the late William and Anna (Koepnick) Deltour. George served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved talking about his time in the service and being in France and Germany. He was employed as a truck driver with the City of Appleton for 25 years. George was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher and was a member of the Men's Club. He was also with the Teamster No. 563. On December 22, 1962, he married Beatrice Herbst. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2006.
    George was passionate about politics, he loved spending time up north and doing a lot of fishing in his younger years. Grandpa got a kick out of watching wrestling on TV! He will be missed by all his granddaughter "tooties."
    He is survived by his daughters and sons, Rose Ann (Lee) Wilkum, New London; Mary (Les) Wilkum, Appleton; Robert (Debbie) Deltour, Black Creek; Donna Depner, Appleton; and Gerry Voigt, Appleton; daughter-in-law, Donna Dominowski, Appleton; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and Beatrice's grandchildren, Scott, Janet, Kelli, Keith, Cal and Bruce; sister, Mildred (Peter) Killian, Jackson, Mich.

    Thorson, Luanne Marie
    A light from our home is gone. On Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, Luann Marie (Zimmerman) Thorson went peacefully to her home in Heaven. Luann was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Appleton, the daughter of Lucille (Risse) Zimmerman and the late Lawrence Zimmerman.
    She loved to play bridge and taught bridge for many years for N.W.T.C., Allouez Parks and Recreation Department and most recently the Green Bay Country Club. She also enjoyed ushering at the Weidner Center. Her biggest love was her family. Holidays, especially Christmas, were special times for her. Luann excelled at spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her mother, Lucille Zimmerman, Green Bay; three children, Jody (Paul) Klaubauf, Randall (Wendy) Thorson and Robert (Melanie) Thorson; five grandchildren, Zachary Klaubauf, Corey, Devin and Laura Thorson and Jacob (Amanda) Thorson; three great-grandchildren, Ryder Thorson, Jayde Marceau, and Hope Clausnitzer; one sister, Nancy (Donald) Wallace, Madison; two brothers, Dr. Richard (Kathleen) Zimmerman, West Bend; and Peter (Judy) Zimmerman, Plover; and her beloved dog, Spooky.
    The celebration of Luann's life will be at Ascension Lutheran Church ECLA, 2911 Libal St., on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.     Peter C. Zimmerman age 68, of Plover passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday September 7, 2013.
    Funeral services for Peter will take place at 11:30 AM on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at the Plover - Shuda Funeral Home. Rev. Ben Sheets will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10:00 - 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Memorials in lieu of flowers will be established in his name for the Portage County Humane Society and an educational scholarship.
    Peter was born July 25, 1945 in Appleton, to Lawrence and Lucille (Risse) Zimmerman. He graduated from Appleton High School (now West) and UW- Oshkosh with his B.A. degree. Peter married Judith Potter on August 15, 1970 in Appleton. The couple settled in Appleton until moving to Plover in 1973. Peter worked for Portage County Social Services until 1984. Peter went on to earn his Masters Degree from UW-Oshkosh and begin a new career as a guidance counselor at Wisconsin Rapids Jr. High School, retiring in 2001.
    Peter enjoyed hiking, fishing, and hunting. He had a special bond with his dogs who are now reunited with Peter on the Rainbow Bridge. He especially loved being afield with his German Short Haired Pointers.
    Peter is survived by his wife Judith, Plover. his brother: Dr. Richard (Kathleen) Zimmerman, West Bend; his sister: Nancy (Donald) Wallace, Madison; brother and sister in-laws: Robert and Kristine Filz, North Dakota, and Barbara Potter, Arizona; Godchildren: Scott Filz, Russell Wallace, and Laura Thorson; along with many more nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.     Richard M. Deltour (Dick) passed away June 25, 2010, at the age of 67, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Appleton on January 13, 1943.
    Dick was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. While being injured by shrapnel, he continued to evacuate his fellow soldiers until ordered to be evacuated. After service he worked at Gilbert Paper. He went to Culinary School at Fox Valley Technical College and worked at numerous restaurants in the Valley.
    Dick is survived by two sisters: Marilyn Keddell of Appleton, Sandy Jansen of Waupaca, brother-in-law, Norbert (Sue) Bodway of Waupaca; nieces and nephews: Carol (Steve) Otto, David (Beth) Keddell, Paul (Janel) Keddell, Teri (Gary) Schultz, Vicki Mack, Shelley (Dell) Mork, Julie (Rich) Rasmussen, Linda (Pete) Schroeder, Bev (Bill) Hoppenworth, Cheryl (Steve) Vanden Wyngaard, Kathy Bragg, and Dan (Laura) Bodway; and numerous great- nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Dick was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Deltour; sister, Joylene Bodway, brothers-in-law: Ken Keddell and Ronald Jansen; and great-aunt, Lillian Martin.
    The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with Rev. Kurt Hoffman officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
    Dick will be missed dearly by family and friends at the Camelot. Dick was a special brother to us and we will miss him because he took care of us when our husbands died.

    Andrew C. "Andy" Deltour, 57, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born Sept. 18, 1950, to the late Arthur and Catherine (Riedle) Deltour in Appleton. Andy married Sherry Hersant on March 24, 1973, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Appleton. He worked at Kimberly-Clark for 38 years until retiring in 2006. Andy enjoyed outdoor activities including: golfing, hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren; they were his pride and joy.
    He will be greatly missed by his wife Sherry of almost 35 years; his two daughters: Stacy (Chris) Hietpas, Kimberly and Sarah Garcia, Appleton; grandchildren: Brandon, Mikayla, Isabella, Brianna, Conner and a grandson on the way; brother Tom (Shelly) Deltour, Shawano; sister Chris Deltour, Appleton; father- and mother-in-law, Wally and Loretta Hersant; sister-in-law Connie Woldt, Seymour; two brothers-in-law: Wally (Louann) Hersant and Wesley Hersant both of Appleton; Goddaughters: Abbie Deltour and Lisa Woldt Johnson.     Christine Deltour, age 57, of Kaukauna, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on December 8, 1957 in Appleton, to the late Arthur and Catherine (Riedl) Deltour. Christine graduated from Plamann School in 1979, and began working at Valley Packaging. She made her home at Agape, and retired in 2005.
    Christine is survived by her brother Thomas (Shelly) Deltour; sister-in-law Sherry Deltour; her guardian and "sisters": Patty (Dan) Comperini, Deanna (Dave Ehlert) Young, Gina (Jim) Welsh, and Autumn Anderson; and "mom" Billie Anderson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The staff and residents of Agape 7 were like her family. Christine was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Deltour.
    The funeral service for Christine will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha. Rev. Kurt Hoffman will be officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton. A time of visitation will be held at 12:00 noon until the time of service on Friday.     A special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, for the compassion and care shown to Christine during her final days.

    Gerald "Jerry" Wilbert Retzlaff, 72, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
    Jerry was born on March 6, 1941, to Wilbert and Dorothy (Deltour) Retzlaff. On August 1, 1964, he was united in marriage to Ellen Mary (Thiel), and they spent 48 wonderful years together. Jerry served in the US Army, and he worked for years as an electrician before retiring from WI Energies. He was an active resident of the Tustin area; working in town government and volunteering for the fire department. Jerry loved working in his yard, bird watching, his dogs, and traveling (often on his motorcycle prior to moving to the Lake Poygan area). He loved the time he spent with his family and that time will always be treasured.
    Jerry is survived by his two children, Tammy Parker and Greg (Janel) Retzlaff; grandchildren: Ashley Parker, Justin Parker, Kayla Parker, Kaitlyn Retzlaff, and Kayley Wontor; brothers and sisters: Roger (Barb) Retzlaff, Tim (Jean) Retzlaff, Steve (Christine) Retzlaff, Janet Kimble, and Cindy (James) Wyatt. Jerry is further survived by his aunt, JoAnn Fink; brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Sue) Thiel, Jerry (Nancy) Thiel, and Bob (Sue) Hoks; as well as several other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
    Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; parents, Wilbert and Dorothy; sisters: Karen, Rebecca and Victoria; daughter-in-law, Lisa; and nephews: Rick, Todd, and Eric.
    The funeral service for Jerry will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jerry's name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. The family would like to extend sincere thanks all of his doctors and nurses, as well as all the staff at St. Paul's Rehab/Elder Services.

    Menasha - Cheryl Lynn (Bodway) VandenWyngaard, age 58, passed away on December 19, 2017. She was born on February 10, 1959. Cheryl graduated from Menasha High School 1978. She married her beloved husband, Steven on May 19, 1984. In 1998 they were blessed with a daughter, Stephanie Lynn.
    Cheryl loved to shop and listen to Dolly Parton sing. She visited Dollywood with family a number of times, which brought a wonderful smile to her face. Life brought many challenges, but she received a second chance when an angel donated a new liver. The transplant was successful and took place October 20, 2017. Cheryl was a fighter and spent the last two months at University Hospital in Madison. Her goal was to be there for her family, but the Lord needed her more and she lost her battle on December 19.
    She is survived by Steven and Stephanie; siblings: Bev (Bill) Hoppenworth of TN, Linda (Peter) Schroeder of Greenville, Kathy Bragg of Appleton, Dan (Laura) Bodway of Appleton; step mother Susan Bodway of Menasha; nieces: Amy (Mike) Allcox, Mandy (Ross) Schroeder, Emily Bragg (special friend, Justin); nephew: Joe (Kris) Schroeder; as well as many great nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.
    Cheryl was welcomed in to heaven by her infant son, Steven, her Parents, Joylene and Norbert Bodway, as well as her In-laws, Evelyn and Joseph VandenWyngaard.
    There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St. Menasha, WI with the service being held at 2:30 p.m.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
