    John H. Lamers. 48. Little Chute, died at 7 o'clock this morning after an 8-week illness. He was born at Little Chute Oct. 9, 1892, and lived there all his life. He was a member of the Holy Name society. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Anna Lamers, Little Chute; five brothers, Theodore, Edward, Little Chute; Albert, Jacob, Appleton: George, Kaukauna; two sisters, the Misses Katherine and Minnie Lamers, Little Chute. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. John church, Little Chute, by the Rev. J. J. Sprangers. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Conrad, Eva M.Eva M. Conrad, age 85, Freedom, beloved mother, grams and more grams pass ed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005, following a courageous battle wi th cancer. She was born June 8, 1920, in Little Chute, the daughter of t he late Theodore and Hattie (Hieptas) Lamers. On October 30, 1943, she mar ried Norbert Conrad in Park Ridge, New Jersey. Eva worked all her li fe at home caring for her family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Cathol ic Church, Christian Mother Society, and the VFW Freedom Post 7692 Auxilia ry.     Florence H. (Spierings) Meinhardt, 87, Appleton, crossed over to Heaven, with the help of her Angels on July 15, 2012 at a local nursing home. Florence was born on April 14, 1925 in Vandenbroeck WI to the late Henry and Nellie (Lamers) Spierings. On May 22, 1948 she married Leroy Meinhardt and they enjoyed over 64 years together. On her life's journey she was a waitress, worked in the kitchen at Lawrence University, was a Boy Scout Leader and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and a Women's Bowling League for over 30 years, often scoring 200 or more. She was a loving mother who made our house a home with her warmth. Her greatest happiness came from baking, celebrating all the holidays, time with friends and family, being outside and lending a hand wherever needed. In her later years, her lifelong joy of singing and dancing brought happiness to many hearts and brightened many days.
    She is survived by her husband Leroy, children Nancy (Daryl) Recker, Judy (Allen) Sigmund and David Meinhardt, grandchildren, Aaron (special friend Niki), Britney and Wylee, daughter-in-law Wendy Meinhardt as well as many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Krystal and 4 sisters.
    A celebration of Florence's life will be held on Thursday from 3-7 pm at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton. Memorial Service at the funeral home at 7:00 pm.
    We wish to thank all the care givers at Colony Oaks for all the kindness and care they gave to Florence.

    Darboy - Marv Lamers, age 88, died Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was born and raised in Little Chute, Wisconsin, to the late Edward H. Lamers and Anne (Ebben) Lamers. Marv was a 1949 graduate of St. John's Little Chute High School. He was drafted into the Marine Corps when he was 23, proudly served his country for 4 years, and was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258.
    Marv's previous employers include Western Condensing, the Starlite Club, EZ Glide Garage Door and the former Thilmany Pulp & Paper Mill in Kaukauna, where he retired in 1991 after 24 years.
    Marv is survived by his wife, Marian "Mickey" (Van Handel) Lamers, whom he married in October 1958. In addition to his wife, Marv is survived by his children: Karla Schmitt, Jeff (Lynn) Lamers, Mark Lamers, Judy (Jeff) Martin, Steve Lamers, Nancy Lamers, Gary (Tracy) Lamers, Patsy (Brian) Van Camp, Peggy (Tim) Aerts, and Jill (Randy) Sprangers. He is further survived by a sister, Rita Gorchals; and a brother Vern (Mary Jo) Lamers. Marv is the proud grandfather of 27 grandchildren and 12 ½ great grandchildren. If you know Marv and Mickey, you also know that the Van Handel family is very large. With that in mind, Marv is further survived by countless members of Mickey's family as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Marv is preceded in death by his daughter, Jane; his parents; Mickey's parents and siblings; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Margaret) Lamers, Sylvan (Shirley) Lamers, Rodney Lamers; and brother-in-law, Ralph Gorchals.

    Gerald Lamers, 73, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center. Jerry was born on the family farm in Appleton on February 27, 1938, son of Jake and Marie (Huss) Lamers. He married Joyce Van Dyke April 30, 1971. Jerry was employed at the former Kimberly-Clark (later Midtec) for 44 years and spent much of his life farming on the families' original farm. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid woodworker and built many things over the years including furniture, toys and arbors. He especially liked building toys for his children and grandchildren. One of Jerry's favorite hobbies was the time he spent gardening, which included growing onions and tomato plants from seed every year. Jerry was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute.
    Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughters: Lori (Tim) Hietpas, Kaukauna, and Kerri (Shivashish) Roy, Combined Locks, and his son, Mike (fiancee April), Kaukauna; grandchildren: Kaila, Jordan and Andy Siegel, Marissa and Tanner Hietpas, and April's children Rilee and Tyler; sisters: Joyce (Marvin) Bougie, De Pere, and Joan Lamers, Kimberly. Jerry was also eagerly waiting for the birth of his new granddaughter in June.
    Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gordy, his in-laws, Harvey and Irene Van Dyke, and a sister-in-law, Sandra Penterman.
    Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be held at the church from 3 p.m. Thursday until the time of the mass.

    Clarence G. Lamers, 79, Gresham, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. He was born November 18, 1931, in Little Chute, to the late George and Agnes (Gerritts) Lamers. Clarence proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On May 18, 1955, he married Donna Schroeder at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. He owned and operated Lamers Construction in Shawano for more than 45 years. He was a life member of the Shawano VFW. His interests included: reading, camping, planting trees, water skiing and the Packers.
    He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Donna, Gresham; a daughter, Brenda Lamers, Appleton; a son, Bruce Lamers, Gresham; a sister, Arlene Lamers, Little Chute; a brother, Ronald (Mary) Lamers, Appleton; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
    Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Diane.

    Laurel L Stuck, 65 of Menasha died Thursday January 10, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born February 18, 1947 in Appleton, daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Van Ryite) Lamers.
    Laurel worked for many years at Theda Clark Medical Center in Housekeeping. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah, where she served as a communion minister for home bound members. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, cookouts with her friends and family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
    Laurel is survived by her husband of 20 years, David; three daughters, Joanie (Mark) Johnson, Knoxville, TN, Kelly Stuck, Appleton, and Jody Spiorski, Appleton; four sons, Billie (Kristy) Stueber, New London, Bobbie (Debbie) Stueber, Appleton, Travis Nickel, Appleton, and Jeremy Stuck, Neenah; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronnie (Chris) Lamers, Little Chute. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 AM on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at ST. GABRIEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 900 Geiger St, Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held Monday January 14, at Valley Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00PM.     On the eve of Thanksgiving November 21, 2012 Sharon L. Van Handel, 63, of Freedom, Wisconsin passed away after a lengthy battle with Lupus with her family by her side. Sharon was born on July 7, 1949 in Freedom to the late Norbert and Eva Conrad. She was a 1967 graduate of Freedom High School. On August 10, 1968 she married Clarence Van Handel at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
    Together Clarence & Sharon established the family livestock farm and business that the family continues to operate today. Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved picnics and sleepovers, sitting around the fire pit and enjoying pudgy pies. She also had a contagious laugh and was known for her practical jokes played on her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and time up north at her sister Kathy's cottage where she often took golf cart rides. She also enjoyed Country USA and trips to Laughlin, NV. She was an avid Packer fan and rarely missed a game.
    Sharon's treasures were her family, her faith, her farm and her friends. She always had time for them all.
    She lovingly held the titles of wife to Clarence, mother to Randall, Little Chute, Jeffrey (special friend Sherry Jansen), Freedom and Larry (Kelly), Freedom, grandmother to Tammi Peeters, Jasmine Van Handel and Jake, Josh and Chloe Van Handel, sister to Kathy (Mel) Brockman, Freedom and Jerry (Sandy) Conrad, Appleton, sister-in-law to Linda Conrad (Dan) Vosters, aunt to nieces and nephews and friend to many. Also survived by Clarence's family Laverne & Floyd Vandenberg (Floyd deceased), Lorraine & Joe Steffens (Joe deceased), Delores & Pat Van De Hey, Florian & Linda Van Handel, Ron & Irene Van Handel, and Joe Van Handel.
    Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jeffrey Van Handel, Jr., brother Wayne Conrad, Clarence's parents Ed & Blanche Van Handel, brother-in-law Willard Van Handel, niece Tracy and nephew Ricky.
    Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, on Tuesday, November 27 from 2:00 - 5:45 pm. Mass of Christian burial will follow with Fr. Dan Felton and Fr.     A very special thank you to the entire Kathy and Mel Brockman family including Beth Ann, Sarah & Jenny who were like daughters to Sharon. Your love and care will always be remembered.     Sharon prayed that God would give her the strength to accept the things she could not change, the courage to change the things she could and the wisdom to know the difference.

    Kathleen N. Hafeman, 68, passed away after a brief illness and surrounded by family on Monday, January 12, 2015, leaving a legacy of laughter and love. She was born on October 29, 1946, in Appleton to the late Raymond and Mildred (Spierings) St. Cyr and worked selflessly to make memories for everyone she encountered, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. For those of you who shared your life with Kathy, you know that Jesus stands at the gates of heaven with open arms, saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your master's happiness!" because Kathy's steadfast, immovable work provided comfort for all, regardless of her role as nurse, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, or neighbor. Her rewards came through lightening the loads of others with laughter, love, and a load of laundry. Her quick wit, spunky sense of humor, endless talkativeness, sing-along songs, and playful words earned her the nickname G-ma Chatty. As you pack away your tree skirts, wrap up in your afghans, and don your slippers, you will be reminded of Kathy's generosity of spirit as she lived Jesus' words, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Kathleen will be greatly missed by her family who dearly loved her.     Richard W. Lamers, Kaukauna, age 58, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home. He was born in Appleton on March 21, 1958 to the late Donald and Margaret (Kunstman) Lamers. Rich married Lori Berghuis on August 13, 1988 at St. Mary's Parish in Brillion. He worked at Fox Valley Wood Products until his illness caused him to retire in 2010 after 33 years of service.
    Rich had a natural talent for fixing anything broken. He enjoyed helping with projects for family and friends. Rich was a private man and an extremely devoted husband and father. He loved his sports and loved cheering for the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.
    Rich is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lori; their children: Jacob and Rachel; siblings: Tom (Betty) Lamers, Barb Maass, Sue (Tony) Hagens, Jan (Brian) Jorstad and Joe (Jim) Lamers; father-in-law, Jack Berghuis; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Wendy), Mary and John Berghuis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rosemary Berghuis; his brother, Dennis Lamers; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Maass.

    Richard A. Lamers, age 56, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay following a brain aneurysm. He was born October 14, 1954 in Appleton to the late Sylvan and Shirley (Jansen) Lamers. On September 15, 1977 Rick married the former Bonnie Ver Voort at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. The couple resided in Kaukauna their entire married lives. Rick retired from Appleton Coated - Combined Locks Mill in 2008 after 32 years of service. Rick was an avid Packer fan, a proud Lions Club member and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at "Captains Cove".
    He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Bonnie, a daughter, Kayla and a son, Nick, both at home; 2 brothers: Randy (Ann), Lac Du Flambeau and Tim (Lisa), Oshkosh; 2 sisters: Ann (Merle) Reis, Kaukauna and Lisa (Keith) Mankovecky, Darboy. He is further survived by his wife's mother, Joan Ver Voort, her sister, Sue (Bill) Barta, very close friends, Judy and Paul Dietzen, his booyah buddy and chef, Ken (Cheryl) Dart, many other friends too numerous to mention, and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Ver Voort and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Ver Voort.
    It was Rick's wish to improve the lives of others via his organ donation.
    Funeral Services for Rick will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

    Kaukauna - Jacob R. Lamers, age 27, died at his home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born in Kaukauna to Richard and Lori (Berghuis) Lamers on March 30, 1990. Jacob had a heart of gold and never hesitated to drop everything to help a friend. He played basketball for Kaukauna High School and his love of sports continued as a fan of all Wisconsin teams.

    Brian Christopher Lamers, age 43, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 after a brave and inspiring struggle awaiting a liver and kidney transplant. He was born to Randall and Ann (Buchinger) Lamers on March 8, 1973. He married Scott Tiedemann on May 15, 2015 after being together for 12 years. Brian graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1991 and then obtained an Associate's Degree through Fox Valley Technical College. At the height of Brian's professional career, he was responsible for marketing to a tri-state region for the student loan division of Associated Bank.
    Brian's passions were sobriety, sunsets, cooking, making others happy, his three dogs (Mickey, Zachary, and Maxwell), nature hikes and camping; and his heart will always reside at his parents' cabin on White Sand Lake.
    Brian is survived by his loving husband, Scott Tiedemann; his parents Randall and Ann Lamers; his brother Chad (Amy) Lamers; his sister Amber (Carlos) Torres; Parents-in-law: William and Carole Tiedemann; brother-in-law Matthew (Jill) Tiedemann; sister-in-law Stacey Winter; Goddaughter: Kendra Lamers; nieces: Brianna Lamers, Halli and Lena Rief; nephews: Trent Lamers, Sullivan Torres, future nephew Everett Torres, Harrison Tiedemann, Keaten Rief; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Sylvan and Shirley Lamers; maternal grandparents: Leo and Rita Buchinger; uncle Rick Lamers and grandfather-in-law, Chester Hancock.

    Funeral Services for Brian will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
