Dolores 'Laurie' (Van Camp) Albers, 78, passed from the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of Jesus where he took her to a place of peace and beauty on Saturday December 11, 1999. The daughter of the late John and Minnie (Vandenheuvel) Van Camp was born October 24, 1921 in Freedom. Laurie attended Kaukauna High School and graduated from Freedom High Shool. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing, Green Bay and worked at all three Green Bay Hospitals. She also worked as a surgical nurse at Wis. General in Madison. On June 14, 1949, Laurie and Bernard Albers were married at Old St. Joseph Church De Pere. Laurie was a devoted member at the former St. Boniface Church where she was a lector, communion distributor, and funeral coodinator. She was a Pastoral Assistant at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere where she loved working. It gave her many hours of comfort and encouragement during her illness. Laurie also enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and cooking. She always had an ample supply of cookies for her children and grandchildren.

Virgil J. Van Camp passed away April 27, 2017 in Iron Mountain Veterans Hospital. He was born January 12, 1923 in Kaukauna to John and Minnie Van Camp.
He served in World War II for three years in the Army Air Corps in Japan and ground combat on Iwo Jima. He received an honorable discharge on February 26, 1946 as a Corporal. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, American Theater Service Medal, a star for the Air Offense in Japan, and a Ground Combat Award for being in Iwo Jima when the American Flag was raised. He was a proud member of the VFW.
Virgil owned and operated Virg's Mobil Gas Station in De Pere, WI until his move to Pembine in 1970 to raise beef cattle. With great reluctance, he sold his cattle in 2011 at the age of 88 and quit farming.
He loved hunting deer with his nephew Tom Juza. He also loved turkey and bear hunting and trout fishing with his brother Kenny.
He loved visits from friends and relation and was always ready for a game of cards. He was cared for by his two nieces: Patty Trinkner, Wendy Walak and Vance; and by his sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Bob Miller. The Veterans provided the Arms of Angels which came in daily to make him comfortable. Thanks to Wendy, Jessica, and Kathy form Arms of Angels. He was then moved to the Veterans Nursing Facility in February 2017 until his death of pneumonia.
Virgil is survived by his four sisters: Lillian Vissers, Rita (Clifford) Schmidt, Marge Calaway, and May Ann (Bob) Miller; his sister-in-law Nancy Van Camp; and 48 nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Minnie Van Camp; sister Laurie Albers, four brothers: Fabian, Alvin, Cyril, and Kenny Van Camp; four sisters-in-law: Barbara Van Camp, Lavern Van Camp, Audrey Van Camp, and Darlene Van Camp; three brothers-in-law: Bernard Albers, Jerome Calaway, and Bernard Vissers; two nephews: Bobby and Marty Van Camp; and his Kitty Frizzy which he had for 15 years.
He had six godchildren: his sister Mary Ann Miller, nephews Bobby Van Camp, Johnny Van Camp, Dennis Van Camp, and John Van Camp; and his niece Jane Juza.
The highlight of his life was his trip at 88 years old to the World War II Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. in 2011 with the Old Glory Honor Flight, this was his first airplane ride in 68 years since the war.
Although never marrying he was father to 50 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Ave, De Pere. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. officiating. Virgil will then be given his Military Funeral Honors. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in Mt Calvary Cemetery. Van Camp, FabianFabian Van Camp, 80, of De Pere died early Friday morning, January 28, 20 05 at a local hospital, following a brief illness. The son of the late Jo hn and Minnie (Van Den Heuvel) Van Camp was born October 25, 1924, in t he Town of Freedom. Fabian was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Batt le of the Bulge during WWII. On January 20, 1953, he married the former Au drey Van Handel at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute.Mr. Van Camp was employed at Fort Howard Paper Company for forty year s. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Ashwaubenon V .F.W. Post 10244, and held various offices in the State and National VFW O rganizations. He was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Chur ch, and especially enjoyed the 7:30 Daily Mass Group at church. Fabian enj oyed hunting and fishing at his cottage up north, and spending time with h is family. Alvin J. Van Camp, age 80, De Pere passed away on December 4, 2006, surrounded by his family. Al was born April 7, 1926, in Freedom to the late John and Minnie Van Camp. On October 8, 1949, he married LaVerne Van Veghel at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Green Bay. Al retired from Fort Howard Paper after 40 years of service to the company. He enjoyed Deer Hunting, Turkey Hunting, playing cards, and going to the casino. His greatest joy however was spending time with children and grandchildren.
Al is survived by his children: Daniel (Joanne) Van Camp, Martin Van Camp, Diane Yakel, Susan (Robert) Janssen, Gerald (Patricia) Van Camp, Teresa (Ted) Fagan, 18 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings: Virgil Van Camp, Ken (Nancy) Van Camp, Lil (Bernard) Vissers, Rita (Cliff) Schmidt, Marge (Jerome) Calaway, Mary (Bob) Miller, and his sister in law Audrey Van Camp.

The son of the late John and Minn ie (Van Den Heuvel) Van Camp was born March 29, 1934, in Freedom. Cy serv ed his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and sailed on the In trepid. Prior to retirement, he owned the Zepher Gas Station, was a Uni on Carpenter and home builder. He owned and operated Cy Van Camp General C onstruction. After retirement, Mr. Van Camp worked at Green Acres Golf Cou rse in Pembine, Wis. He had lived in Pembine for the last 10 years, enjoy ed spending time with his grandchildren and hunting and fishing with his b rother, Virg.

On the wings of angels we say goodbye to a man who was loved by so many in the area. A beautiful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who was loved by all who knew him because he truly loved and cared for all he knew. Ken was an avid fisherman and huntsman who loved the area of Crivitz where he has lived the last 14 years with his wife of 18 years, Nancy Van Camp. He served as the town supervisor and loved to serve the community sharing his wit, spinning his fishing tales and bringing a box of donuts to whomever he thought needed a cheer. Kens kids will always love him and remember him for the unconditional love he offered to all his family. Ken set the example for us all by treating others with respect and kindness. Kenneth P. Van Camp age 77, Middle Inlet has left for a time his wife Nancy Van Camp, his children John Van Camp, Lisa Dubois, and Mary Pat and Jimmy Garsow. His three children were from his first loving wife Barbara Scheer who passed on May 1st 1984. He was given another chance at love and happiness meeting Nancy and her children, Rick, Mike Tammy and Sandy Wichmann. They have been a family who will love each other and intend to carry on his legacy of honor and community service. Ken's brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends and extended family love him and will miss him. He will remain in our hearts and our lives as we move forward in his honor. Glen A. Van Camp, Freedom, age 81, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Freedom on August 21, 1928, to the late Frank and Magdalene (Biese) Van Camp. Glen married Therese Vanden Heuvel on October 25, 1950, at St. Therese Catholic Church. He was a member of the Freedom Lions and the Carpenters Local 955. Glen also served as a trustee at St. Nicholas Parish. Together, Glen and Therese enjoyed traveling. They drove out west many times. Even out to Alaska and back. They enjoyed taking trips out to South Dakota to visit Bro. Will Siehr at the Pine Ridge Mission School. They also traveled to Florida to visit relatives and friends. Dad thanked God after coasting into gas stations and each safe return home.

Eugene H. "Gene" Van Camp, 84, of Freedom, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was born on September 27, 1930, son of Frank and Magdeline (Biese) Van Camp. On September 3, 1952, Gene was united in marriage to Dolores Nelessen at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Together they raised their 11 children on the family dairy farm in Freedom where they taught their children how to work hard and enjoy life. Most importantly, they lived and shared their deep faith, as exemplified by their compassion for others, honesty and commitment to always do the right thing.
Gene was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, serving as a trustee for many years. Throughout his life, Gene enjoyed working the family farm side by side with his wife Dolores and their children. In addition, he found great joy driving his bus route for Swinkles, traveling in his motorhome, the Green Bay Packers and bowling. His greatest enjoyment was time spent with family. Gene was a genuine, hardworking and faithful man who will be truly missed.

Loretta Ann Arnold, age 94, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side on Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2015. She was born on August 18, 1920, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Van Camp) Wittman. Loretta was united in marriage to Wilmer "Bill" Arnold on May 3, 1941, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. After living in Appleton for a short while, they decided to purchase a farm in the Town of Center in April of 1942. Bill preceded her in death in September of 1967. She worked at Peerless Laundry for 28 years, retiring in August of 1985. Loretta was proud to stay on the farm until November 5, 2014, when The Bridges of Appleton became her new home.
Loretta was a devoted mother and wonderful cook. She has taught her family the true meaning of life's celebration with many of her own home cooked meals made with love throughout her years. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, crocheting, embroidering, dancing and listening to Danny O'Donnell, and going on hundreds of mystery trips with the late Elaine Kurey and Phyllis Brown with Have Group Will Travel. She also enjoyed playing sheepshead with her family and rarely missed a Saturday night with Lawrence Welk.
Loretta will be missed by her two daughters: Janet (Donald) Spaude, Shiocton and Joyce (Roland) Young, Shiocton; daughter-in-law Karen Arnold, Black Creek; six grandchildren: Karen (Brian) Fischer, Kris (Dave) VanDenBosch, Amy (Joe) Olson, Tim (Bobbi Jo Figlinski) Arnold, Michelle Arnold, and Todd Arnold; six great grandchildren: Ashley, Alex and Austin VanDenBosch, and Jayme, Carlee and Emily Olson; and sister-in-law Tootie Wittman. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Appleton - Virginia "Ginny" Mae (Van Camp) Herrick, 86, entered eternal rest on January 27th, 2018. Ginny was born July 10th, 1931 in Freedom, Wisconsin to Jacob "Jake" and Regina (Schuh) Van Camp. She married William A. "Bill" Herrick II on August 5th, 1952 and resided in Appleton, Wisconsin. Ginny is survived by husband Bill and their six children: Lynn, Jeff, Susan, Kathryn, William "Bill" III, and Paul; fifteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her five siblings: Aurella "Rella" (Bob) Coenen, James (Janice) Van Camp, Jacob "Dumpy" (Darlene) Van Camp, Ann Forseth, Mary Clair (Dan) Kruetzberg, and close cousins David and Barb Schuh. She is preceded by husband Bill's family and her close friends. Ginny will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom. Per her wishes, there will be no formal services.

Martin J. Van Camp 57, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 18, 2011.
He was born Dec. 7, 1953, to the late Alvin and La Verne (Van Veghel) Van Camp.
On June 23, 1985, he married Diane Gruber.
Martin was an avid outdoorsman, and was a very selfless person who always put others needs in front of his. He retired from Festival Foods in De Pere, in April 2010, due to ill health.
His children, Justin and Cara, as well as his siblings survive him, Daniel (Jo Anne) Van Camp, Diane Yakel, Susan (Robert) Janssen, Gerald (Patti) Van Camp, Teresa (Ted) Fagan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his brother, Robert Van Camp, as well as the mother of his children, Diane.

Danny Van De Hey, 51, of Wrightstown died Wednesday, October 11, 2006, as the result of a farm accident. Danny was born July 7, 1955, in Kaukauna to Amos and Mary (Van Camp) Van De Hey. He married the former Susan Goffard on May 20, 1983, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Danny belonged to the Holy Name Society, On the Go 4-H as a swine leader, the Farm Bureau and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and hunting. Danny loved to give people rides in his 1929 Ford Model A and his 1926 Essex. He also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and mock weddings. Danny's life long desire was spent working the land and working with his cattle. Danny owned and operated New Horizons Dairy with his brother David. His lucky number was the number 7.

Mary M. Simon, Hortonville, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, age 59, entered eternal life Saturday, May 9, 2015 peacefully at home with her family by her side. Mary was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 13, 1955, daughter of the late Edward Turek and survived by her mother, Rosemary (Van Camp) Turek. She married David Simon on August 21, 1976 and they celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary this past August. Together, they raised four daughters: Kristine (Matthew) Palmer, Shari (Christopher) Brzinski, Stacy (Andrew) Arendt and Laura (fiancé, Troy Olson) Simon.
Mary found great joy in spending time with family, especially the children. She cheerfully devoted her life to her daughters, nieces and nephews and she cherished her six grandchildren: Adam, Abigail and Cora Palmer, Blake and Kai Brzinski, and Anastasia Arendt. She loved nothing more than to have a minivan full of kids on their way to Bay Beach.
Influenced by her father, Mary was a strong advocate for education. During his retirement she helped him receive his honorary high school diploma because he left school to proudly serve in WWII. Mary also supported all four of her daughters as they pursued college educations and she sat proudly at each graduation ceremony.
Mary always found a way to balance her family life and her personal goals of a higher education with grace. She received her undergraduate degree at the age of 45 with a bachelor of business administration and became a proud and devoted employee at UW Oshkosh for 14 years as the Senior Administrative Program Specialist in the Chancellor's office. Mary obtained her master's degree in public administration at the age of 50 to better serve the students and faculty that she so loved at UW Oshkosh.
Mary is further survived by her beloved brother and sister with their spouses; Edward (Vicky) Turek and Janet (Terry) Brill; her mother in law, LaVera Simon; her sisters in law: Connie (David) Tiedt, Carla (Paul) Bagstad and Cindy (Rodger) Eberly; her brother in law, Leslie (Debbie) Simon and her nieces and nephews: Angela, Shaun (Cassandra) and Michelle Brill; Kathy, Amy and Marcus Turek; Jennifer (Kyle) Stoehr, Jessica (Michael) Johnson, Jill (Matthew) Magill, Lisa (Darrin) Grassman, Michelle (Fred) Noyes, Lance (Nikki) Hoier, Troy (Darcy) Peterson, Joshua (Amber) Peterson, Chase Eberly, Justin (Lavonne) Simon, Nicole Simon-Demerath, Jake (Samantha) Simon.

Arnold, LeRoy J. age 54, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 27th, 2004. He was born Aug. 7, 1949 in the Town of Center to the late Wilmer and to Loretta (Whittman) Arnold. He graduated in 1967 from Hortonville High School. On March 15, 1970 he was united in marriage to his friend, wife, and caregiver Karen Woehler. LeRoy farmed, raced stock cars, and was employed by Presto Products up until 1976 when he was injured in a stock car accident leaving him a quadriplegic. He was a lifetime member of the Fox River Racing Club and was an avid Nascar fan who took pride in the Earnhardt Racing Team -- past and present -- along with hot rod Chevrolets. LeRoy had a strong faith in God and will to live and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton.
LeRoy will be missed by his beloved wife, Karen Arnold; three children: Tim (fiance Bobbie Jo Figlinski) Arnold, Michelle Arnold, and Todd Arnold, all of Black Creek; his mother, Loretta Arnold, Appleton; two sisters, Janet (Donald) Spaude, and Joyce (Roland) Young, both of Shiocton; a sister-in-law, Joanne (James) Conradt,Black Creek. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Arnold; an infant sister, Shirley Mae Arnold; paternal grandparents, Henry and Golde Arnold; maternal grandparents, Mike and Nellie Whittman; his father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Elna Woehler; brother-in-law, Vern Woehler; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Kust.
A Funeral Service for LeRoy will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 323 N. Morrison St., Appleton with the Rev. Ralph Waack officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brettschneider Trettin Lederer Funeral Chapel, and directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.

Kyle Van Camp, 25, of Madison and formerly of Freedom, WI passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was born April 25, 1988, son of Lee and Lisa (Zwiers) Van Camp.
Kyle graduated from Freedom High School, Class of 2006, where he excelled in wrestling and placed at the state tournament. He then attended UW-Lacrosse where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports management. Kyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting skeet, working for the Madison Mallards, and being favorite uncle to his nephews.
Kyle could put a smile on anyone's face and somehow lit up every room he walked into. He certainly lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Everybody loved Kyle.

She is survived by her parents Tony & Brooke Techlin; sister Julia Techlin; Grandparents, Ti & Peg Schulze and Dennis & Phyllis Techlin; Uncles, Evan Schulze, Kyle Schulze, Rob Techlin; Great Grandparents, Robert & Aurella Coenen, Barbara Porper, Darlene Schulze.
She is preceded in death by great grandparents, Charles Porper, H. Carl Schulze, and Wilbert & Bernice Techlin.
We would like to thank the Birth Center nurses at Appleton Medical Center, especially Maureen & Carrie, and Chaplain K.C. Schuler for their care and compassion.
