    Obituary:
    Bernard F. Albers, 84, took Jesus hand to join his beloved wife, Laurie, on September 2, 2000. He was comforted by his family, who were praying at his side. Bernard was born June 14, 1916, in De Pere to the late Martin and Mary Albers. On June 14, 1949, he married Laurie (Van Camp) Albers. Bernard served in the Army in World War II. Bernard was self employed as a home contractor. (Martin Albers & Son) and (Albers Builders), until his retirement. Bernard had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, writing poetry, reading and creating various carpentry projects. He often challenged his grandchildren wiht thinking games. He was a devoted member and colunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes.
    Survivors include his children, Michael and Deane Albers, East Windsor, N.J.; Peter and Mary Claire Albers, Wrightstown; Mary Jo and Rick Jelinski, Dyckesville; Nancy and Jerry Barrette, De Pere; Je
    an and Larry Hockers, De Pere; Jeff and Pat Albers, Wauwatosa; David and Tammy Albers, Brownsmille, N.J.; Patty and Dean Raasch, De Pere; grandchildren; Terry Jo and Brian Leiterman, Beth, Paul, and Peter Albers; Jessica, Eric and Andrea Jelinski; Ross, Alyssa and Tyan Barrette; Scott and Jayme Hockers; Brett and Annie Albers; Cindy and Matthew Albers; Kaeli Raasch; one brother, Jerome Albers; one sister, Johanna Vanden Heuvel; sisters in-law, Helen and Elmer Green; Marie Albers; Lillian and Bernard Vissers; Rita and Cliff Schmidt; Marge and Jerome Calaway; and Mary and Bob Miller; brothers in-law,Virgil Van Camp; Fabian and Audrey Van Camp; Alvin Van Camp; Cyril Van Camp and Kenneth and Nancy Van Camp.
    Bernard was preceded in death by his wife; paretnt; brothers, Raphael Albers and Ambrose Albers; sister, Matilda Quinette; sisters in-law, Bernice Van Camp, Laverne Van Camp, Barb Van Camp; brothers
    in-law, Irvin Vanden Heuvel. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St. De Pere from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday. Wake service at 7 PM. visitation will continue from 9:30 to 11 AM Thursday at Our Lad! y of Lourded Church, De Pere. Mass of Resurrection 11 AM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Conrad Kratz, O .Praem. presiding. The family wishes to thank Fr. Conrad, Fr. Jim Robin Cribb, and the many friends at the 7:30 Mass group of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent's CCU, especially Laurie who's compassionate care was comfort to our dad and our family. A memorual fund has been established for Our Lady of Lourdes Church
