    Vandenberg, Timothy G. May 17, 1974- February 3, 2008
"Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so." Timmer went to heaven to be with his Savior on Sunday, February 3, 2008, surrounded by his family. Timothy was born on May 17, 1974. He came into this world with his twin brother Anthony. Anthony preceded him in death that day. Tim was our two pound fighter. He attended Headwaters Achievement Center in Rhinelander, WI, and in 1984 he moved to Appleton with his family. He entered the Plamann School and graduated from Appleton East High School Special Ed. Program in 1993.
Timmer is survived by his parents, Jim and June Vandenberg; his three brothers: Andrew, Alex, and Stephen. He was a special uncle to Gereon, Mariah, Keira, and Aliyah Vandenberg. He is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kriesel of Rhinelander, WI, and Mrs. Margaret Vandenberg of Appleton. Tim leaves behind many aunts, uncles: Dick and Dena Kriesel, John and Maggie Kriesel, Phil and Jean Kriesel, Robert Taylor, Dale and Joyce Schreiber, Rick and Cindy Uecker, Peter and Mary Vandenberg, John and Barbara Vandenberg, Charles and Helen Snyder, Milo and Barbara Foster, Tom and Karen Vandenberg, Dick and Lee Vandenberg, and Neal and Pat Vandenberg; and 36 cousins.
We will always remember Tim and his love of country music, watching "Little House on the Prairie," his great impressions, and how he loved to dance!
Tim resided at the Roads to Freedom Group Home in Brillion for 13 years. While there he made many friendships. The family wishes to thank all of the people who work in group homes who love and care for individuals like Tim. Thank you to Tim's very special caregiver, Judy Bohrtz and her family who loved him like he was a member of their family.
A memorial service for Tim will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 7, at Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church, 136 W. Seymour St., Appleton, with the Rev. Dennis W. Belter officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established in Tim's name.
