    Mildred Kappell, age 86, of Kaukauna, died on Monday, July 21, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born August 22, 1921, to the late Dominic and Jennie (Tezzini) Orsini in Colver, PA. In November of 1945, she was united in marriage to Leo Kappell.
    Mildred was a longtime member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Kaukauna. She attended any and all of her grandchildren's activities. Mildred enjoyed shopping with her great-granddaughter Madison and loved to talk and socialize. She was a loving presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter. She will truly be missed.
    She is survived by her son, Ken (Maureen) Kappell and her daughter, Kim (Richard) Arts, both of Kaukauna; four grandchildren: Sharon Kappell, Casey Arts, Leah Arts, and Maria (Nick) Asenbrener; a great-granddaughter, Madison Clark; two sisters: Helen Bartocci, New York and Yolanda Parisi, Chicago; a brother, Medio (Mary) Orsini, PA. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo and her parents.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH, ST. MARY SITE, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at Church on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Mildred's name is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
