Verkuilen, Michael J., "Snoopy ", Mountain, Formerly of Little ChuteAge 51, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, in Green Bay as a result of a motorcyc le accident. He was born February 3, 1952 in Appleton, son of Theodore a nd Mary (Fleischman) Verkuilen. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, m otorcycling, boating and being with his friends up north and was a good co ok. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Jac ob Coppus Post #258, Little Chute. He was a member of the NRA. He is survi ved by his wife, Lillian; his children, Melissa (Timothy) Shinabargar, Kau kauna; Michael (Brenda) Verkuilen, Kimberly; Maxwell Verkuilen, Kaukauna a nd Heather Verkuilen, Appleton; his grandchildren, Alex and Jenna Shinabar gar, Michael and Brittany Verkuilen, Calista Verkuilen; a brother, Richa rd (Linda) Verkuilen, Kimberly; two sisters, Janice Jansen, Little Chute a nd Mary Beth Belanger, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Verkuilen, Litt le Chute; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Michael was pr eceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ted Verkuilen Jr.; a sister, Ma rgaret Ann Verkuilen and a brother-in-law, Carl Jansen. Memorial servic es will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at St. John Nepomucene C atholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiatin g. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Jacob Coppus Po st #258, Little Chute, following the mass. Friends may call at the Verkuil en Funeral Home from 2 until 4:30 p.m. Monday.
