    b>Bodde, Charles M.Charles M. Bodde, of Kaukauna, age 78, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. He was born October 16, 1928, to the late Andrew and Angeline (Bowers) Bodde. On October 26, 1947, Charles married the love of his life Frida Borri in Florence, Italy. Charles was a World War II veteran. He was employed by Appleton Papers in Combined Locks for 41 years retiring in 1991. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cribbage with friends, Jerry and Regina Brockman. He raised and raced homing pigeons and was a longtime member of Fox Valley Racing Club.
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frida; his daughters: Carla (Dennis) Landrath, Wausau; Sharon (Ken) Hammen, Little Chute; and Connie (Glen) Geurts, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Jennifer (Kevin) Steward, Dallas, TX; Daniel (Jocelyn) Schroeder, Wausau; Matthew Geurts, Andrew Geurts, Emily Bodde and Molly Bodde, all of Kaukauna; great-granddaughters, Landyn and Bryn Schroeder, Wausau; two sisters, Mary Wallace and Rita Van Linn; a brother and sister-in-law, Mirella and Sabatino Facchini, Florence, Italy; one aunt, Cordell Bowers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul; son-in-law, Larry Schroeder; father and mother-in-law, Vittorio and Emma Borri, Italy; brothers: Robert, Virgil and Jack Bodde; brothers-in-law: William Van Linn and Ken Wallace; sisters-in-law: Rita, Betty and Ruth Bodde.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jack T. Mullarkey officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 25, 2007, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Kaukauna and again on Monday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Burial and Full Military Burial Rites will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. 920-766-2099.

He was born April 12, 1956, in Kaukauna, son of Charles and Fri da (Borri) Bodde.Paul was employed at Appleton Coated Locks Mill. His love was his two daug hters and the time he spent with them. He enjoyed time with family, lov ed sports and especially fishing with his friend Mark Damro.
