    Obituary:
    Florence M. (Schmidt) Seegers, 88, died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Brewster Village after a lengthy illness. She was born June 24, 1919, in Neenah, Wisconsin, to the late John and Odellia 'Tillie' Schmidt. Florence was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton.
    She is survived by her sons: Roger (Connie) Seegers, Appleton, and Wayne (Jan) Seegers, Fremont. Six grandchildren: Stacey (Scott) Holmes, Jenny (Donald) Budrick, Jamie (Jeremy) Karpinske, Dawn Macias, Tamra (Bill) Kain and Travis Seegers; four step-grandchildren: Steve (Sue) Plach, Richard (Kim) Plach, Gregory (Candy) Plach and Heidi (Rick) Kramer; eight great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Charles 'Chuck' Schmidt, Appleton, and John (Carrie) Schmidt, Sun City, Arizona; a sister Carol (Frances) Rasmussen, Appleton; and by many nieces and nephews.
    Florence was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roy (Lucille) Schmidt Sr.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Monday, August 27, 2007, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. until the time of mass on Monday at church also.
    The family would like to thank Brewster Village staff, ThedaCare and Cherry Meadows Hospices for their loving care and concern shown to Florence.

    Wayne A. "Buddy" Seegers, age 73, of Fremont, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at his home, with his family at his side. He was born on April 16, 1943 in Kimberly, WI, the son of the late Louis and Florence (Schmidt)Seegers. He was baptized into the Kingdom of God on September 9, 1949, and later made his solemn vow of Confirmation on April 15, 1964. Wayne worked for Pendergast Sleep Shop for 38 years before retiring. After retirement, Wayne worked for Koeppens Medical Transport for 4 years, before his health no longer allowed him to. In 1994, Wayne married Janice Snell. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale, where he served on many boards. He enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as traveling to auctions and rummage sales all over the area. Wayne will always be remembered as a big man with an even bigger heart. His kind and gentle manner were loved and will be missed by many. Wayne is survived by his wife, Janice; his children, Steve(Sue)Plach, Richard(Kim)Plach, Gregory(Kisandra)Plach, and Heidi(Rick)Kramer; his grandchildren, Hannah, Matt, Nick, Samantha, Kelsey, Megan, Lindsey, Braxton, Rickey, Riley, Amy, Chris, Alex, and Brianna; three great-grandchildren, Hailee, Finley and Dena; his brothers, Roger(Connie)Seegers,
    Scott(Judy)Owen and Steve(Bev)Owen; his many Popp step brothers and sisters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Travis Seegers, and his step-mother, Catherine Popp-Seegers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, N926 Dale Ave., Dale. Rev. William Finn will officiate. Burial will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery in Freedom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, at the church, from 9AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    Wayne's family would like to extend a very special Thank you to Heartland Hospice and Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, as well as the many health care workers that Wayne encountered throughout his illness, for the wonderful care, concern and kindness. The outpouring of kindness was greatly appreciated.

    Seegers, Travis "Tad"
    Tad Seegers, 32, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Oct. 30, 2009. Tad was born on Aug. 13, 1977, in Appleton, to Betty L. (Meyer) Seegers. He graduated from Appleton East High School. Tad was a faithful employee of Fabco and The Binding Edge.
    He enjoyed success as a bowler at the state level, was a talented video game player, enjoyed gardening, solving puzzles and his cats. Tad especially enjoyed time spent with his family. Tad eagerly looked forward to attending the Special Touch Bible Camp each summer at Spencer Lake.
    Survivors include his loving mother, Betty L. (Meyer) Seegers (friend, John); his grandmother, Valoise Meyer; his sister, Dawn Baumgarten, and her children, Christopher (Christina) DeCoster, Amy (Christopher) Gehrke and Alex Baumgarten; his sister, Tamara (Bill) Kain, and their children, Brianna, Austin, Adam and Amber Kain; and his uncle, Jerald (Doreen) Meyer, and their children, Becky (Josh) Mascinski and their son, Chase, and Jesse Meyer (friend, Annie) and their children, Zoe and Zander; his cat, Punkin; and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his grandfather, DeForest "Swede" Meyer; and his great-grandmother, Laura Yohr.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH, W6254 Highway 10-114, Menasha, with the Rev. John Kieffer and the Rev. Steve Kolasinski officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
    Tad has now joined Grandpa in Heaven.
