Obituary:
Karen Hermans passed away peacefully on March 6, 2017.
She was born on September 5, 1941 to Tony and Martha (Van Dyke) Hermans who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School and St. Mary's School of nursing, Wausau. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse at Appleton Medical Center.
Karen is survived by one sister, Rita (John) Lehl; along with two nephews and one niece, Scott (Cheryl) Lehl, Mark (Elizabeth) Lehl, and Sarah (Christopher) Sina; ten great nephews and nieces, Ashley, Megan, Emily, Lizzie, Mark, Nicholas, Justin, Matthew, Michael, and Ethan. Karen is further survived by two great great nephews, Aiden and Parker; one great great niece, Makayla; and many cousins and friends.
Karen will be deeply missed for her love and compassion to others.
Mass of Christian burial for Karen will be 11:00AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave. Appleton with Fr. Ryan Starks officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday morning beginning at 10:00AM until 10:45AM with mass to follow at 11:00AM. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Kaukauna.3.
