    Obituary:
    Karl J. Anderson, age 74 of Dale, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, March 21, 2016. Karl was born on September 16, 1941, in Kaukauna, WI the son of George Sr. and Florence (Baumgarten) Anderson. Karl graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1959, where he was a great athlete excelling in both track and volleyball. He then continued his education at Wisconsin State University-Stevens Point where he received a bachelor of science degree in Natural Science/Conservation in 1963. On June 6, 1964, Karl married Diane Rentmeester at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Green Bay. Karl started his teaching career at Mount Horeb High School, where he coached wrestling and football and then moved to Two Rivers teaching at Lincoln High School. Karl continued his education completing graduate work at both the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and University of Wisconsin-Stout. Karl concluded his teaching career at Fox Valley Technical College in Oshkosh and Appleton, where he retired in 2002 after 35 years.
    Karl's passion was the outdoors, which one could see portrayed through every aspect of his life. He enjoyed camping, hunting, spending time up north at the family cabin and working around the yard. Karl and Diane, his "Tweetie," traveled extensively throughout North America during their 55 years together; returning to their special, favorite spots. In recent years, Karl and Diane spent their winters in Golf Shores, Alabama. Since retiring, Karl began a new artistic hobby of hand carving walking sticks for friends and family as well as completing a childrens book. Karl will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor and special love for his family.
    Karl is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Derek (Diane) Anderson and Aaron Anderson; grandsons, Dyllon and Wyatt Anderson; and brothers, George Jr. (Antoinette) Anderson and Dave (Pat) Anderson. He is further survived by brother and sister-in-laws, Janice (Bob) Anderson, Jim (Sandy) Rentmeester, Julie (Gary) Tilkens, Curt (Sue) Rentmeester, Gary (Ellen) Rentmeester, and Barbara (Dick) Leick; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    Karl is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Anderson-Offer and Susan Childs; father and mother in-law, Al and Ceil Rentmeester; and brother in-laws, Ronald Rentmeester and Kenneth Rentmeester.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 28, 2016, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, (105 N. Olk St.) Hortonville, with Msgr James Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
