Obituary:
Hilbert - Theodore Schaffer, 65, died Wednesday following a paralytic stroke. He was working on the highway Tuesday when he suffered the stroke and was rushed to St. Elizabeth hospital, Appleton. He did not regain consciousness.
Mr. Schaffer, son of the last Mr. and Mrs. John Schaffer, was born Nov. 28, 1872, on the homestead now owned by his brother, Math. He was married to Margaret Baer at Hilbert in 1900.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Will, of Colby and Mrs. Lester Kaeting, Sheboygan; four brothers, Nic, Colby, Math, Hilbert, Jacob, Alberta, Canada and Andrew, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be held Saturday from St. Mary's Catholic Church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery, Rev. R. J. Fox will officiate.
