Carol Krebsbach, formerly of Darboy, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday morning, October 29, 2016. Carol was born in Little Chute on April 30, 1930, daughter of the late Raymond and Laura (Van Boxtel) Springer. She was a graduate of the Appleton High School and graduated from nursing school in Oshkosh. For many years, she worked for Dr. Kitzerow and Dr. Rankin, both in Appleton. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors, fishing, and being at the cabin for the annual vacation. She loved a trip to the casino, and as a lover of music, in her younger years she played the organ and the accordion in a small band. Carol was also a talented knitter who enjoyed a good glass of wine.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years: Herman Krebsbach, now living in Neenah; five children: Tom (Mary) Krebsbach of Elgin, Illinois; Barb Krebsbach of Sarasota, Florida; Jeanne (Jeff) Johnson of Menasha; John (Ina) Krebsbach of Austin, Texas; and Lori (Tom) Frederick of Neenah. There are also eight grandchildren: Tom (Keyko) Krebsbach, Jr., Megan (Jeremy) Kox, Kaila (Brandon) Mielke, Joel Johnson, Ryan Frederick and special friend Olivia Behm, Shelby Frederick and fiancé Brandon Ansems, Jeana Johnson and special friend Cory Schmidt, and Abby Frederick. Carol is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Pitzen of Arizona and Geneva Krebsbach of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lawrence Springer, and ten of Herman's brothers and sisters and their spouses.
