    Viola "Vi" Van Harpen passed away on Monday, September 18, 2006, at St. El izabeth Hospital at the age of 92. She was born on April 10, 1914, the sev enth of eight children born to Mary (Wilkolm) and Peter Dornacker in Nabo b, Wisconsin. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1931. On M ay 7, 1938, she married Roy P. Van Harpen in Nabob. She and Roy raised fi ve children together in Menasha. Her husband, Roy, preceded her in dea th on January 27, 1981. Vi was very artistic and accomplished in many craf ts. Her primitive rug hookings and rosemauling pieces decorate the hom es of her children and grandchildren. When she was fifty years old she ful filled her life-long dream of becoming a licensed practical nurse. She wor ked at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Vi traveled a ll over the world and loved meeting new people and seeing new places. S he loved all her activities but would drop everything at a moment's noti ce to play a game of cards. She lived at St. Paul's Manor in Kaukauna f or the last six months where she met a welcoming community and had a sheep head game every afternoon.Four sons, one daughter, sixteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchild ren whom she adored and enjoyed survive her.     Gary Van Harpen passed away on July 25, 2015 at his home on Pearl Lake after a short battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1941, to Roy and Viola Van Harpen in Neenah, WI. He graduated from Menasha High School in 1959. He began his career at Twin City Dental Lab as a dental technician. He later started Van Harpen Dental Studio. He then followed his dream of owning his own millwork shop called Bridgeview Woodcraft. Bridgeview Woodcraft produced artistic molding, doors, and floors made of beautiful woods. He was an artist in his craft. He married Shirley Nieling on June 15, 1963, in Little Chute, WI. Gary and Shirley worked the businesses in a true partnership. They have three children, Amy Van Harpen Greenville, WI; DJ (Mary), Neenah, WI; and Tom (Jenn) Old Town, ID; and three grandchildren, Lizzy, Madi, and Cameron Van Harpen.
    Gary was an avid archery enthusiast and long-time board member in the North Fond du Lac Archery Club in Mt. Morris, WI. He loved archery golfing with his family and friends, and he introduced many newcomers to the sport.
    He is survived by his wife Shirley, of 52 years, and his children, his brothers; Tim (Mary), Grafton, WI; Todd (Louise), Kaukauna, WI; Jon Paul, Ft. Meyers Beach, FL; a sister, Mary K. Knox, Menasha, WI; a brother-in-law,David Nieling (Tina), Suring, WI;and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and Shirley's parents, Al and Ann Nieling.
    Funeral services for Gary will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 228 Church Ave, Redgranite, WI 54970 with Fr. Jason Blahnik officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. A lunch will be served in the parish hall following the service. Memorials are being established for cancer research and the North Fond du Lac Archery club.
