  Hugo C. Riniker, 96, Appleton, was born in South Milwaukee, Wis., on March 16, 1911, to the late Hugo Sr. and Elise (Kester) Riniker. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family Sunday morning. He went to his assurance of heaven to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. Hugo worked at Bucyrus Erie as an electrician. He had his own construction business and was a wonderful carpenter. He retired in 1976 after 17 years at the Ladish Company as an electrician. He had a love for trains and photography and was known as the "Photographer of the North Woods." He had several public showings of his photography. Hugo also had the privilege of teaching a Bible study at Calvary Baptist Church in Kaukauna in his 90s. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Elisabeth of 45 years; children, Diane Thoenes, Donald (Lynn) Riniker, Eva (John) Klemp and Susan (Mark) Jungen; sister, Hildegard; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Hugo was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Violet; son, Richard; brother, George; and sisters, Elizabeth and Anne. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church (2101 Green Bay Road) in Kaukauna, with Pastor Robert Spurgeon officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may visit the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday morning.
