  THERON B. KOHL, 804 W. Brewster Age 80, died 9:20 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 1983, at Appleton Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. He was born September 6, 1902, in Appleton, and was a life long resident of Appleton. He worked for Appleton Chair Corporation for 35 years. Theron was a devoted and loving husband for 56 years. He was also a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Theron will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice Selig Kohl; a daughter and son-in-law, Rudolph (Marian) Herrmann, Appleton; four sons and three daughters-in-law: Eugene L., and Delores, Appleton; Clayton T., and Shirley, Appleton; James R., and Beverly, Appleton; Dr. Robert T., Detroit, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. John (Rosalie) Van Rooy, Kaukauna; an aunt, Mrs. A. J. Nagan, Kaukauna; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 912 North Oneida, with the Rev. M. W. Bulgerin and Rev. Leon Knitt officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street, and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
