2	1844	1844: Appleton History Eleazar Williams made a loan agreement with Amos A. Lawrence, using his wife\'s land on the Fox River for collateral. Williams later defaulted on the loan, and Mr. Lawrence took possession of the property. 1844: Kaukauna History Immigrant Peter Deidrich, born in Holland, settles and operates a ferry service directly across from Michael Klein farm.
