1	1754	1754: Kaukauna History Charles de Langlade marries Charlotte Ambroisine Bourassa, a daughter from this union marries Pierre Grignon.
2	1755	1755: Kaukauna History De Langlade and his Ottawa are given credit for planning the attack in which Braddock and the English were defeated at Fort Duquesne.
3	1759	1759: Kaukauna History De Langlade and 400 Indians join Montcalm in the defense of Quebec. The French surrender and the French and Indian (SevenYears) War ends.

23	1822	1822: Appleton History Eleazar Williams led a group of New York Indians to their new reservation west of Green Bay. 1822: Kaukauna History The Stockbridge and Munee tribes settle on the south side of the river at Statesburg.
24	1824	1824: Kaukauna History the first real road to be opened in Wisconsin was laid out in 1824 along the east side of the Fox, from Green Bay to Kaukauna.

26	1827	1827: Appleton History At a site on Little Lake Butte des Morts, Michigan Territorial Governor Lewis Cass negotiated a treaty with the Indian leaders that gave the United States government control over almost all of the Fox River Valley.
27	1828	1828: Kaukauna History In spring, Rev. Jesse Miner arrives to minister to the Stockbridge and Munsee tribes living in Statesburg on the south side of the river.
28	1829	1829: USA History Seventh President of the US is Andrew Jackson 1829-1837
29	1830	1830: Kaukauna History Augustin and Nancy Grignon leave Kaukauna for their holdings in Buttes des Morts. Their sons, Charles and Alexander take over the business and family homestead.
